Chris joined Barnes Trial Group in 2021, and his move to Of Counsel in April 2026 created the space to launch DLS and expand his work with Illutamy — while keeping him actively connected to Florida trial practice.
As Of Counsel, he remains involved in the strategy, development, and handling of personal injury cases across Florida, which means the perspective he brings to every consulting engagement reflects the legal environment as it exists right now, not as it existed years ago.

That foundation rests on experience that few in this space can match: 7 years managing cases from the defense side — advising the country's largest insurance carriers on exposure, evaluating plaintiff cases as an adversary, and understanding exactly what moves the needle for the people sitting across the table.
That was followed by more than 7 years representing plaintiffs, building legal departments, trying cases, and developing the kind of practice that only comes from results.
