How We Work
Strategy First.
Theme Before Slides.
Every engagement follows the same disciplined path — from project intake to a presentation your team can take into the room ready to use.
The Process
Six Steps.
One Clear Path.
- 01
Step One
Project Intake & Initial Discussion
Every engagement begins with a project intake. We ask the right questions at the outset — the proceeding, the forum, the audience, the standard that applies, and your timeline — so the work is built for the room you are actually walking into.
- Proceeding type and forum
- Audience: adjuster, panel, arbitrator, or jury
- Timeline and key dates
- 02
Step Two
Scope & Statement of Work
Packages are flat-fee and tiered by the volume of records and depositions. Cases outside standard scope receive a custom quote following an initial case review. Every engagement is governed by the DLS Master Services Agreement and a project-specific Statement of Work.
- Package tier or custom proposal
- Signed Statement of Work
- 50% deposit to begin work
- 03
Step Three
Case Materials Review
Case materials are delivered in complete form at project initiation. An experienced trial attorney reviews the record and deposition testimony — analyzing what the evidence establishes, what it leaves open, and how to present it in the sequence that builds the strongest case.
- Complete record and deposition review
- Strategic evidence analysis
- Delivery timeline confirmed in the SOW
- 04
Step Four
Case Theme & Narrative
A clear case theme is developed before a single slide is designed. Theme framing, witness emphasis, narrative sequencing, and evidentiary structure are built for the specific audience you are facing.
- Case theme development
- Liability and damages architecture
- Presentation-specific recommendations
- 05
Step Five
Build, Review & Delivery
The presentation is built, reviewed by the attorney, revised, and delivered as a production-ready PowerPoint file your team can take into the room ready to use. The balance is due upon delivery.
- One round of revisions after attorney review (two for video)
- Final production-ready file
- Balance due on delivery
- 06
Step Six
The Next Stage
If the case moves forward, the work moves with it. DLS-prepared presentations can be converted for arbitration or trial, Mr. Donegan is available for in-court consulting, and coaching engagements can be paired with any package.
- Presentation Conversion Packages
- In-court consulting support
- Associate Attorney Coaching Program
Timing matters. For mediation, the process begins 30 to 45 days before the conference — not the morning of. A presentation delivered in advance gives the defense time to complete their internal roundtable and come to the table with real authority.

What You Can Expect
From Every Engagement
Clarity
Flat Fees, Confirmed in Writing
All additional work — extra records, depositions, slides, or rush delivery — is quoted and confirmed in writing before it proceeds.
Experience
Built by a Trial Attorney
Every presentation is developed by an experienced trial attorney who has sat at counsel table — not a graphics vendor.
Currency
Reflects Florida Practice Today
Because Mr. Donegan is still practicing, every recommendation reflects what is working in Florida courtrooms right now.
Respect
The Decisions Remain Yours
Ultimate case strategy and legal decisions remain the exclusive responsibility of the attorney of record. We help you make them with greater clarity.
